Productivity Vs. Internet

This comic strip from comics.com (kyle miller) reminded me of how much time people procrastinate on email, facebook, myspace, etc. i work at the froint desk at a resort and whenever my coworkers are not helping a guest they are logged on to myspace and it destroys our productivity immensly.

Vince, what you said is so true. I can see it everyday at my work. People are constantly logged in to AIM, MySpace or Facebook. It seems like it not only decreses productivity at work, but definitley at home as well. I am not sure how many countless hours I have logged in browsing through facebook photos or mindlessly chatting online. This is a very good point and the comic strip describes it perfectly.

It's amazing how much time is wasted in office work. The old adage that 20% of the people do 80% of the work really does ring true. Most work as hard as they can to do as little as possible. I like how this comic takes this idea and adds humor. It makes everyone realize how unproductive they can be, I know I am in the 80% category.
