"Too Busy to Notice You're Too Busy"

This image, by Alex Eben Meyer, is from an article from the New York Times. The image instantly grabbed my attention. Its use in the article describes how technology has made us busier. Wherever we go we are tied to our mobile devices. Cell phones interrupt our classrooms, meetings, and everything in between. I even see people using their cell phones in the public restrooms. By carrying a cell phone, we have invited more tasks to keep us running around. We can not live without the benefits of our mobile devices. This article describes the increased difficulty in prioritizing our tasks and finding some down time.

The picture does a great job at showing how our technology has placed restrictions on our lives. We are tied down by our cell phones and hand-held computers. Technology discourages us from having quality alone time. I don't think it will get any better because we're hooked!

I love this picture. It seems to totally capture this present attachment on technology we have. These days we all seem to be tied down to our technological devices such as our cell phones and computers. It would be nearly impossible for us to go one day without our cell phone or checking our email. Does it make us more productive or just more reliant on technology?

I really feel this picture. It really shows how tied down to our cell phones we really are. I can't imagine a day without my cell phone. What if work calls, or my fraternity needs something. I need to be on call 24/7. I think because we know everyone who will call us, we don't realize we are actually so tied down.

This picture exactly describes myself because I need to take my cellphone wherever I go. I am bound to my cellphone as my skin is to my body. I do believe that technology have improved tremendously and also taken over some part of our lives. I believe this is good and bad because we are relying too much on technology and if something to happen when these technologies are not available to us, how would we proceed? The good of technological advancement is that we learn and strive to make more complex things that stimulates the mind.
